School Performance & Financial Information

Academic achievement is very important to us. We want our pupils to achieve as highly as they can and this means making the progress we would expect and more. It is our responsibility to deliver a curriculum which excites and engages our children and at the same time gives them the skills and knowledge they need for the future, especially as regards reading, writing and maths.

Our data is very detailed and hard to explain briefly, however it is important for you to know that we track each individual pupil in at least reading, writing and maths very carefully throughout the year and at the end of every year. An overview of our annual data assessment is as follows:

Reception

  • A baseline assessment during the first few weeks
  • Termly assessments to track progress in all areas
  • A final assessment at the end of the year to check what progress has been made overall

Year 1

  • Termly assessments in reading, writing and maths to track progress
  • National Phonics Screening Check

Year 2

  • Termly assessments in reading, writing and maths to track progress
  • National Phonics Screening recheck for some pupils
